The Area Wide Teen Gatherings of Central Oklahoma provide the opportunity for friendship, fellowship, and worship experience to the youth of the region's churches of Christ.Tuesday, October 27, 2009
The October AWTG was a huge success with 340 arriving at North MacArthur on the 11th. A powerful lesson on Who Is God? featured an astronomy slideshow. Some of the main points were: God is near and God cares for you.
The good stewards working behind the scenes rushed around to accommodate feeding the extra hundred that showed up. We had a delicious meal of BBQ, chips, dessert, and cokes. A sign of the times (flu season) was the encouragement for all to use the hand sanitizer pumps. We appreciated Dave and Loretta Lucas for going as sponsors.
Another skate night is planned for January at Moore Skate. The next AWTG will be Nov. 8 at Blanchard. Mark it on your calendars so you won't miss out on the spiritual food and great fellowship!
